During operation, at an appropriate position below the fork, wrap the branch with a piece of plastic film (cylindrical shape), tie the lower part tightly with a thin string, fill the cylinder with rooting culture soil, and wrap the branch in the middle. Then leave a small opening at the top of the plastic cylinder for watering (if no opening is left, a syringe can be used for injection), and tie the top of the plastic cylinder tightly with a thin string. The difference between the high-pressure propagation of Philodendron and that of other flowers is that there is no need to perform ring girdling; it is sufficient to tie the string tightly at the bottom. The plastic cylinder filled with culture soil should be 10 to 15 cm long and 6 to 8 cm in diameter. Finally, set up a支柱 at the high-pressure position to make it stable and conducive to rooting.
The main task of future management is to water the culture soil, keeping it moist. After about 40 to 50 days, the high-pressure position will be filled with fibrous roots. At this time, you can cut the lower part wrapped with the string away from the mother plant, remove the plastic film, and plant it directly in a pot with soil, placing it in a shady and well-ventilated place for 8 to 10 days, then move it to a sunny place, strengthen fertilization and watering management. By August to September, pinch off the top buds of the new branches to promote the growth of new branches and gradually form a canopy.
