With the cool weather, it's time to play around with succulents. Picking leaves, topping, repotting, changing soil, pruning roots, fertilizing, and leaf insertion propagation are all done in this season.
Today we will focus on leaf insertion for succulents.
Leaf insertion can multiply one pot of succulents into multiple pots. At the same time, the seedlings from leaf insertion can easily grow into multi-head succulents, and the speed of filling the pot is very fast, with a stunning effect!
Leaf insertion is very simple, and I will explain it to you in detail below.
1️⃣ Prepare your favorite succulents for leaf insertion, a spray bottle, a container with soil, and plastic wrap.
How to propagate succulents
I chose my favorite peach and jade plants, as shown in the picture below↓
2️⃣ Gently sway left and right to remove healthy and plump leaves (those with epidermis are even better), leave the upper new small leaves for topping, allowing them to continue growing into large seedlings.
ps. Method for planting topped seedlings: Let the wound dry and scab over, then insert it into moist soil that does not accumulate water.
