The Grape Hyacinth (Latin Name: Muscaribotryoides Mill) is also known as Blue Vase Flower, Grape Lily, Grape Muscari, Blue Bottle Flower, and Grape Narcissus. It is an excellent ornamental ground cover introduced from Europe, belonging to the Lily Family, Blue Vase Flower Genus, and is a perennial herbaceous plant. The bulbs are oval, the leaves are pubescent and lanceolate, tufted, with a small plant size. The scape is 15 to 20 centimeters tall, with a cluster of 10 to 20 small bowl-shaped flowers at the top, making the whole inflorescence look like a cluster of blue-violet grapes, graceful and elegant. The flowering period is from April to May. Flower colors include blue-violet, white, and pink. The Grape Hyacinth is native to France, Germany, and southern Poland in Central Europe. The plant prefers warm and cool climates, enjoys light but also tolerates shade, and thrives in temperatures between 15°C to 30°C. It grows well in loose, fertile, and well-drained sandy loam soil.
