Young Lycidas Rose Plant Introduction

Application Performance: This variety is as beautiful as classic roses, with deep cup-shaped large flowers. The flower color is a new one among English roses, a blend of deep magenta, pink, and red, with the outer edge of the petals trending towards lavender. The fragrance changes as the flower opens, starting with a pure tea scent and gradually becoming a blend of tea and classic rose scent.

‘Young Lycidas’ is an excellent choice for planting in flower borders together with English roses and ancient rose varieties, and can also be planted with cold-hardy plants in flower borders. The variety is named in memory of the 400th anniversary of the birth of the famous poet John Milton. ‘Lycidas’ is his famous English short poem.
