Methods for Controlling Flower Thrips:
The control of flower thrips is relatively simple, not as stubborn as red spiders.
Chemical Control:
Prevention usually involves spraying insecticides in early spring, and this preventive measure can greatly reduce the number of flower thrips.
When flower thrips damage is detected, spray 10% imidacloprid wettable powder 2000 times liquid for poisoning. Spray both the leaves and pot soil.
In summer, try to spray the pesticide after dusk, as flower thrips are most active at night. Therefore, it is rare to see flower thrips in summer.
Physical Control:
Flower thrips are attracted to blue, so you can set up blue sticky insect boards on flower pots or rose plants to trap adult thrips.
